| COVID-10 cases are rising in WV.
West Virginia added another 65 positive coronavirus cases Thursday, with record making outbreaks in a number of states with hospitals at full capacity.
The number of Americans who have been infected with the coronavirus is most likely about 10 times higher than the 2.3 million cases that have been reported, according to Robert Redfield, the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.
The WV Department of Health and Human Resources said in a news release the state had a total of 2,694 cases as of 5 p.m.
No new deaths were reported, and the total remained at 92.
The DHHRâs website said 1,902 have recovered, and there are currently 700 active cases.
Nearly 160,000 have been tested for the virus, and the positive test rate is at 1.68%.
