In the USA today, the largest number of COVID-19 cases reached an all-time high for a single day total.
West Virginia health officials said Wednesday the state has 29 new positive cases of COVID-19.
There have been 156,960 laboratory results received, with a total of 2,629 cases, according to a news release from the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources. The total number of deaths remained at 92.
The state's positive test rate remains at 1.67%. Health officials said 24 people have been hospitalized. Five of those people are in intensive care and two are on a ventilator.
