A number of seniors from the CHS Class of 2020 have received special recognition and scholarships.
Calhoun Schools said, "Weâd like to congratulate all of our college-bound seniors on all their accomplishments throughout their time at Calhoun County Middle-High School and acknowledge the unique set of challenges and circumstances our seniors had to endure this final year of school."
A list has been released of all seniors who will be attending college and/or receiving scholarships for the 2020-2021 academic year and possibly beyond.
The 2020 class has collectively earned over 500 hours in early college credit.
46 Graduates have reported intentions of continuing their education at 9 different schools across the state of West Virginia.
Due to this yearsâ circumstances, some colleges, universities, and scholarship funds have not fully reported.
21 Graduates have reported as accepting merit-based scholarships or grants, totaling over $94,250.
All financial/merit-based scholarships and grants for all graduateâs total over $370,000.
26 Graduates have reported going directly to work full-time after graduation.
School officials said students have managed to achieve great things.
