West Virginia has had another COVID-19 related death and 28 more positive COVID-19 cases Monday.
The state of WV has seen a 28% increase in cases in two weeks.
In the US, cases are skyrocketing in several states.
The state Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed the latest death, a 73-year-old man from Mineral County, Monday afternoon in a news release. West Virginia has now had 90 deaths associated with the virus.
As of 5 p.m., the state had a total of 2,571 cases.
Meanwhile, the number of active virus cases in the state continued to rise with a total of 755.
More than 153,300 tests have been given with a positive test rate of 1.68%.
