Health officials in West Virginia reported 35 more positive COVID-19 cases Wednesday evening.
The state Department of Health and Human Resources said in a news release the state now has a total of 2,376 cases as of 5 p.m.
Most of the new cases are in WV churches.
Previously many of the cases have been in nursing homes and prisons.
A second death has been reported in Lewis County, not included on the daily report.
There are at least 634 active cases in the state and at least 1,654 residents have recovered from the virus.
West Virginia's overall positive test rate sits at 1.68%.

No new deaths were confirmed in the state Wednesday, keeping its death toll at 88. |
