Two more COVID-19 deaths were reported Friday afternoon in West Virginia, bringing the stateâs death total to 88.
The state Department of Health and Human Resources confirmed the deaths of a 73-year old man from Mingo County and a 78-year old man from Berkeley County.
A close community spread of COVID-19 is being reported in Greenbrier County where nine new cases of the virus were confirmed within a 24-hour period.
Meanwhile, the number of positive virus cases in the state increased by 32 Friday morning, with the total now at 2,249.
The stateâs positive test rate continues to trend downward, with the latest total at 1.79%. More than 125,700 tests have been given.
