| PARKERSBURG GUNFIRE - Vincent Edward Cross, 28, 1711 Staunton Ave., Parkersburg, was arraigned on a charge of malicious wounding after a verbal altercation ended in multiple gunshots being fired allegedly by Cross.
The Wood County Sheriffâs Office was dispatched to the shooting at 12:48 p.m. Wednesday, which occurred on Hy View Drive in Washington.
According to the criminal complaint the victim was hit at least once in the neck during the incident.
According to a press release by the Wood County Sheriffâs Department, the victim was still conscious, alert and mobile.
The complaint said the victim used his truck to strike Crossâ car as Cross attempted to leave the area.
According to the press release, the victim was later transported via ambulance to Camden Clark Hospital and then transferred to another hospital for treatment.
Cross was arraigned Wednesday at the Wood County Magistrate Court by magistrate Jody Purkey and is being held at the North Central Regional Jail on a $300,000 surety bond.
