Sheriff Jeff Starcher and Deputy W. T. Raines, were on routine patrol Wednesday on Rt. 16 in Chloe. The officers observed a red Polaris Ranger traveling north on Rt. 16. After catching up to the vehicle a traffic stop was conducted on Walnut Road and the driver was identified as Christopher Morris.
The officers observed several empty beer containers in the bed of the Polaris Ranger and Observed Morris' eyes to be bloodshot and glassy. He was then requested to perform three field sobriety tests, in which he failed all three. He blew a .124 on the Alcosensor FST and later a .117 on the Intoximeter.
He was arrested by Deputy Raines and charged with DUI, operating an ATV on a road with a centerline, and exceeding the ATV speed limit of 25 mph.
He was arraigned by Magistrate Postalwait and made bond.
