The West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources reports 21 new positive cases of COVID-19 Wednesday in the state.
The state Department of Health and Human Resources said the state had a total of 2,077 cases as of 5 p.m.
No new deaths were reported, and the total remained at 78.
Of the positive virus cases, 2,018 are confirmed and 59 are probable. The DHHR said 1,398 have recovered, and there are 601 active cases.
As of Wednesday, there are 28 hospitalized with 11 in the intensive care unit and two on a ventilator.
More than 104,300 tests have been performed with a positive test result rate of 1.99%.
