West Virginia Gov. Jim Justice said a total of 39 inmates at Huttonsville Correctional Complex have tested positive for COVID-19, and he expects more cases as more than 1,000 other inmate tests become available.
The governor had ordered the testing of all inmates at the Randolph County facility after expanded testing produced more positive results. Four staff members at the prison have tested positive. There were 1,029 inmates tested over the weekend, and results are pending.
