HARDING-CONLEY-WHITED ARE CHS 2020 VALEDICTORIANS - MILLIRON IS SALUTATORIAN - Graduation June 26

Megan Harding-Valedictorian is the daughter of Jony Harding, of Creston, West Virginia. She is the President of Student Council, Vice President of her class, Vice President of the National Honor Society, Vice President of Mu Alpha Theta, and Secretary of the National Spanish Honor Society.

She has also been on the honor roll all four years of high school. She has participated in cheerleading, basketball, and track and field all four years of high school. She also participated in volleyball her senior year. Over the past two years, Megan was awarded with the LKC Scholar Althlete Award and for having the highest GPA on the girls basketball team in Calhoun.

In her free time, she likes to run, spend time with her family and friends, and hangout with her boyfriend, Ben. Megan has been accepted to, and plans on attending Glenville State College in the fall to study Elementary Education. She also plans on cheering for the college as well.

Megan says, "my five-year plan is to to attend Glenville State College to receive a degree for Elementary Education. I also plan to keep my job at Miller’s Kwik Stop as a cook throughout college as well. After college, I hope to get a job as an Elementary teacher at Pleasant Hill Elementary or somewhere else close to home."

Cassidy Conley-Valedictorian is the seventeen-year-old daughter of Darrin and Crystal Conley of Sand Ridge. She is a member of the National Honor Society. She holds offices in National Spanish Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, and Student Council.

Cassidy has been on the track team for 2 years and the high school dance team as well as the exclusive Showgirls dance group for 4 years.She participates in dance outside of school as well. She twirled for the marching band and played flute in concert band for 3 years.

Cassidy plans to attend Marshall University in the fall to study pre-physical therapy.


Karlie Nicole Whited-Valedictorian is the daughter of Stephen and Jan Whited of Grantsville. Her high school activities include National Honor Society, Mu Alpha Theta, FFA member and officer, and Senior class officer.

She played basketball and volleyball all four years of high school. Her community activities include volunteering at Cain's Veterinary Clinic and with the Welfare of Animal Group (WAG). She is a member of Prosperity Baptist church and participates in their youth program.

Karlie has been accepted into the Davis College of Agriculture at WVU where she plans to obtain a BS degree in Animal and Nutritional Sciences.

Jenna Milliron-Salutatorian is the daughter of Steven Milliron and Jennifer Yoak of Big Springs. She has been on the honor roll all four years of high school, a class officer for three years and served as treasurer and secretary. She was the president of National Spanish Honor Society, the secretary of National honor Society, and the treasurer of Mu Alpha Theta.

Jenna has also recently been inducted into the National Society of High School Scholars. She has participated in marching band for four years and was named captain of the Colorguard (State champions for two years in a row) her senior year.

Jenna says, "I am honored to be a captain to my teammates. I also participated in dance, Show Girls, and cheer. I attended HOBY (Hugh O’Brien Youth) Leadership camp the summer of my sophomore year. I then completed the Moving Onward and Upward (M.O.U.) program my junior year. My 10-year plan is to attend Glenville State College for the 2020-2021 academic year and complete my basic/general courses. I plan to then transfer to West Virginia University, major in Biochemistry and obtain a master's degree. I will then apply to medical school where I intend on furthering my education for a career as a Neurosurgeon or Anesthesiologist.
