PM TUESDAY: 12 NEW CASES OF COVID-19 IN WV

West Virginia’s total positive COVID-19 cases increased by 11 Tuesday afternoon, with no new deaths reported.

The state Department of Health and Human Resources reported the state had a total of 1,514 positive virus cases as of 5 p.m.

The state’s death total remained at 68.

More than 78,600 have been tested for the virus. The positive test result rate remained under 2%, at 1.93%.

According to the DHHR’s website, 922 have recovered from the virus. There are 54 hospitalized with nine on a ventilator in the intensive care unit and nine in ICU.
