| Another West Virginian has died due to the coronavirus, raising the stateâs death toll to 65, officials announced Saturday evening.
An 89-year-old man from Fayette County has died due to the virus, according to the state Department of Health and Human Resources.
Officials also confirmed 23 new coronavirus cases Saturday evening, raising the stateâs total to 1,470.
A second case in Calhoun has yet to be included.

As of Saturday evening there are 473 known active cases in the state. At least 919 people West Virginians have recovered from the virus.
