Two more people have been sentenced to federal prison terms for their roles in a methamphetamine distribution operation in Gilmer County, U.S. Attorney Bill Powell announced.
Senior U.S. District Judge Irene Keeley sentenced both Brandi Singleton, 42 of Burnsville and Joseph Frederick, 36 of Duck, to a year behind bars.
Singleton pleaded guilty to one count of Distribution of Methamphetamine in Proximity to a Protected Location in September 2019. Singleton admitted to selling methamphetamine near Gilmer County High School in September 2018.
Frederick, pleaded guilty to one count of âAiding and Abetting Distribution of Methamphetamine within 1,000 Feet of a Protected Locationâ in September 2019. Frederick also admitted to selling methamphetamine near Gilmer County High School in September 2018.
The Mountain Region Drug & Violent Crimes Task Force investigated the case.
Three of the 11 people originally indicted in the case have now been sentenced.
