State health officials confirmed two more coronavirus-related deaths Saturday afternoon, raising the stateâs death toll to 50.
A 69-year-old woman from Kanawha County and a 100-year-old woman from Monongalia County are the two latest deaths, according to the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources.
The 48th COVID-19 death in the state, 70-year-old man from Kanawha County, was reported Saturday morning.
An additional 15 positive cases were confirmed by the state DHHR Saturday evening, raising the total of cases to 1,184.

As of Saturday, there are 503 active cases in the state and 611 people have recovered from the virus.
