SPRING WILDFLOWERS BRIGHTEN THE DAY -Tammy's Cabot Station Home (04/21/2021) A crested iris that just started blooming this week. Each year go to the places where the wildflowers bloom. It's like visiting an old friend that you haven't seen for a year. I think of my biology teachers Fred Barnes and Dale Levering, both of which have passed away. I learned a lot from them, but my best teacher on wildflowers was my mother, Martha (Wright) Westfall. She took me when I was small and taught me the names of the flowers, and where they grew (she learned that from her mother).
