The state Department of Health and Human Resources reported a 33rd death in West Virginia due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
The DHHRâs Saturday evening report said a 67-year-old man from Kanawha County had died.
There have been 1,025 confirmed coronavirus cases in West Virginia following 33,210 tests. The agency said 32,185 of those tests have been negative. The DHHR recorded 791 new tests given between Friday evening and Saturday evening with only 15 of those tests recording as positive.
The stateâs positive test rate is at 3.09 percent.
Deaths have been recorded in Jackson (8), Wayne (6), Monongalia (4), Kanawha (4), Marion (2), Wood (2), Barbour (1), Berkeley (1), Hampshire (1), Harrison (1), Logan (1), Mingo (1) and Ohio (1).
