Two more COVID-19 deaths have been reported in West Virginia, bringing the stateâs overall death toll from the virus to 31.
A news release from the state Department of Health and Human Resources said the two new deaths are
an 85-year old male from Wayne County and a 71-year old male from Kanawha County.
Meanwhile, the number of new positive coronavirus cases in the state jumped another 33, with an overall total of 981 as of 5 p.m. Thursday.
The DHHR said 380 people have recovered from the virus at 108 remain in the hospital.
More than 29,000 tests have been conducted in the state.

The DHHR said delays may be experienced with the reporting of cases and deaths from the local health department to the state health department. Itâs not uncommon for the local level to report case numbers first and then officially report it to the state. |
