Lenzy Lee "Bud" Reynolds, 83, of Cottageville, WV, passed away April 11, 2020, at home after a brave fight with a long illness.
He was born January 22, 1937, in Spencer, WV, the son of the late Earl and Juanita Reynolds. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his brother, Jerry Reynolds.
Bud, began working at age 15 when he washed cars at a local Spencer gas station. After spending four rewarding years in the Air Force, he returned home and met his life-long partner, Linda, and soon began his career at C&P Telephone. Bud retired from Verizon in 1991 with 30 years of dedicated service.
After 10 years of flying airplanes, working on old cars, and play, he returned to work as a contractor until illness prevented him from continuing "The best job of his life". Besides being a great husband, father, grandfather and friend to so many, Pop, as he was known to his grandkids, was an avid pilot, antique car and gun collector, hunter, and dog lover.
Bud was rarely seen without Linda, their son Buddy or the family dog. When not enjoying his family and outdoor hobbies, Bud spent hours organizing high school class and Air Force reunions for his enjoyment and that of so many others.
Bud loved Spencer. He started an online trivia called Spencer Trivia. It started small and soon grew to involve nearly 100 participants. Those who knew him, certainly remember him as fun loving, generous, caring and selflessly devoted to his family and friends. While he loved and appreciated this life to the fullest, Heaven is an even more wonderful place with Budâs kind and giving presence.
Survivors include his wife and loving partner of 56 years, Linda; son, Buddy and his wife Kathy of Baden, WV; granddaughter, Sarah of Barboursville, WV and Logan of Fairmont, WV; sisters, Betty Haynes and husband Voras of Elkins, WV, Judy Hubbard of Dayton, OH, Sandy Carr of Fayetteville, NC, Connie Nichols and husband Teddy of Elizabeth, WV, Terri Springston of Spencer; brother, Ronnie Reynolds of Spencer, WV. He is also survived by several loving nieces and nephews.
Entombment will be in the Jackson County Memory Gardens Mausoleum of Monday with Tom Reynolds officiating. Services will be private.
The family would like to thank Dr. Malik and staff, Hospice and especially his dedicated caregiver, Brenda Frazier.
Arrangements are provided by Casto Funeral Home, Evans, WV.
