Mary Marie 'Reek' Hively, 89, of Spencer, died Thursday, March 26, 2020, at Miletree Center, Spencer, after an extended illness.
She was born April 23, 1930, at Looneyville, the daughter of the late George and Vesta Cottrell Bowen.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Lee 'Bud' Hively; brothers, Ray Bowen and the Rev. John Bowen; and sister, Ernestine Carpenter.
Mary was a retired employee of the Akron Credit Bureau, Akron, Ohio. She was a former employee of Kellwood Company, Spencer and Phluegers Fishing Tackle, Akron. She was a member of the Spencer Tabernacle, Spencer.
Survivors include a sister, Anna Faye Edgell of Spencer; nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, great grandnieces and great grandnephews.
A graveside memorial service is planned for a later date when health guidelines permit.
John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, is in charge of arrangements.
