Johnny Clinton Dunlap, 61, of Spencer, died Wednesday, March 18, 2020, at Roane General Hospital, Spencer, after an extended illness.
He was born September 24, 1958, in Charleston, the son of Jean Marie Shafer Dunlap of Elkview and the late John Ervin Dunlap.
In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a sister, Sheila Jones in 2007.
Johnny was employed at Nichols Graphics, Spencer. He was a member of the Clay County High School Class of 1976 and the United States Marine Corps. His pastimes included fishing, hunting, spending time with his dog, Miley, and feeding and watching birds.
In addition to his mother, survivors include his wife, Marilynn Rogers Dunlap; son, Justin Dunlap of Spencer; brother, Michael Dunlap of Elkview; sisters, Dreama Hodge of Elkview, Carol Hershberger of Ravenswood and Lynn Lafever of Amma.
He will be laid to rest, with military honors accorded by the USMC Honor Guard, at Eventide Cemetery, Spencer.
There will be no visitation or service. The burial will be private.
