The Calhoun Commission is taking action to protect the public and courthouse workers during the Cornavirus Pandemic, following guidelines.
"Our goal as Commissions is to take necessary measures to make our staff as safe as possible during this pandemic," said commission president Scottie "Chip" Westfall.
"Therefore, effectively immediately all doors will be locked at the Calhoun County Courthouse," he said.
If there is an urgent need, patrons can ring the buzzer outside of any of the three entrances and assess will be granted during their need at that time.
Offices will be open, so whenever possible, call the office and request the necessary information/documents and they will be emailed or mailed to you, or other arrangements will be made based on the urgently of need need.
