A message from Donna Umstead and Lew Craddock Concerning First Baptist Calhoun County Food Pantry -
We will be keeping the pantry open Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11-1.
Beginning this Tuesday, we will be giving out food in a different way to keep all of us safe.
Those of you that have picked up food before only need to give your name. We have updated lists of everyone that qualifies for food. If it is your first time, you will be asked to fill out paperwork.
Please do not return any boxes to the pantry when you come for food. We will be giving food out in bags, so if you have cloth bags, be sure to bring them with you.
If you are sick, no matter what the ailment, wear a mask or appropriate face cover to protect others.
Food pickup will be at the edge of the porch. No admittance and no chairs will be provided. Plan accordingly.
Food pickup may be denied by staff for any reason that may be deemed a potential health issue to staff or others.
We are aware that some of you pushed in to the line in front of others that were picking up food at the last Truck Day. We know who you are, and that behavior will not be tolerated. We will be monitoring the line closely and you will be asked to leave if we observe this behavior.
We have plenty of food, so you do not need to worry that we will run out.
It might take us a little longer to hand out the food, but we want everyone to be safe. Please be patient and work with us to have a successful handout.
As always, we will be serving handicapped and disabled first.
Thanks in advance to all of you for your cooperation.
