| Surrounded by his family, David Mark Bruce, 66, of Elizabeth WV, passed away at home February 27, 2020.
He was the son of the late Chester and Mary Ruble Bruce.
Born March 23, 1953, he was a graduate of Wirt County High School with the class of 1971, West Virginia University at Parkersburg, Marietta College and Ohio University. He was an educator, teaching at WVU-P and Marietta College. His hobbies included playing the guitar and singing. He listened to all types of music, and was an avid reader and hunter.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his oldest brother Duane Bruce.
He is survived by his wife Kathleen; children Samantha (Angie) Bruce and Stephanie Foutty; a brother, Jim Bruce; his mother-in-law Ruth Baker; and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Mark's life will be held at the North End Tavern (NET) March 29 from 2-4 p.m. All are welcome to join the family. |
