| The person killed Friday in Morgantown at an apartment complex near the downtown campus of West Virginia University has been identified as a student.
Eric James Smith, 21, of Clementon, N.J., a sophomore majoring in multidisciplinary studies, was killed in the shooting Friday morning, according to a news release posted on the university's website.
Smith was a former resident of College Park, where the shooting occurred.
Two suspects were arrested shortly after the shooting at a WalMart and are expected to be arraigned Friday afternoon. They are from Fairmont.
University officials said Terrell Linear, 21, is being charged with first degree murder and Shaundarius Reeder, 20 has been charged with conspiracy to commit murder. WVU officials said Linear and Reeder are not WVU students.
