| John Phillip "Jack" Umstead, 84, of Las Vegas, Nevada, formerly of Mt. Zion, West Virginia died January 27, 2020 at Nathan Adelson Hospice in Las Vegas.
John was born May 22, 1935 in Spencer, West Virginia a son of the late Ivan and Frances Sturm Umstead. He worked in housekeeping and as a front desk clerk at various casinos and hotels in Las Vegas and was a member of the ENON Baptist Church.
John his survived by his spouse, Arthur Cole; a niece, Vicki Stevenson of Johnson City, Tennessee; a nephew, John R. “Randy” Umstead of Pullman, West Virginia; and a sister-in-law, Josette Umstead of British Columbia, Canada.
In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by a sister, Guyla Umstead Crum; two brothers, Hoyt and Robert “Bob” Umstead; a nephew, Robert “Bob” Umstead II; and a sister-in-law, Mary West Umstead.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, February 6, 2020 at the Mt. Zion Cemetery in Calhoun County. |
