William Bernard Lynch, 88, of Vienna passed away Feb. 27, 2003, at his residence.
He was born in Ritchie County, a son of the late James and Icie Varner Lynch. He retired in 1979 after 40 years of service with Eureka Pipeline Co., and was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Yetta E. Shanks Lynch; one daughter, Glenna Perry of Charleston; one brother, Jim Lynch of Mount Zion, W.Va.; and one daughter-in-law, Judy Lynch of Parkersburg; three grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and thee step-great-grandchildren.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one son, Richard Lynch; one brother; and three sisters.
Funeral service will be 2:30 p.m. Sunday, March 2, at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, Vienna with Pastor Jim Yoak officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Olivet Cemetery.
The family will receive visitors from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday at the funeral home.
