UPDATE: POLICE RESPOND TO DISPUTE ON NORTHSIDE ROAD, GRANTSVILLE - Richards Facing Calhoun Charges

State Police and NRP officers responded to a dispute on Northside Road, Grantsville Sunday evening about 8 p.m.

The criminal complaint says Trooper J. B. Hunt was advised by 911 a "subject that was on drugs" had locked his grandmother out of her residence and then that subject had also been locked out and was attempting to gain entry back inside."

Also responding to the incident NRP Officer Charles Stephens and NPR officer J. Holcomb.

Calhoun Sheriff Jeff Starcher also responded to the incident.

During that situation, according to the complaint, Roberta Lamp answered a knock at a back door and was speaking to a subject, Michael Allen Metz, 33, who was combative and was taken into custody, and would not follow verbal commands.

The complaint says Metz was escorted by an officer to the front porch, "The accused become combative...refusing to obey the officers commands."

He was taken to Central Regional Jail and charged with obstructing an officer.

Authorities arrested Kevin Hale Richards, 30, charging him with unlawful taking a vehicle and destruction of property. He was also issued a capias warrant from Ritchie County.

He is in Central Regional Jail.

Eugene Madison Bowe, 59, was arrested on a capias order from Calhoun Monday and taken to Central Regional.

Arrested Tuesday on misdemeanor charges, Gary Lee Starcher, 40, and was taken to Central Regional.
