Gwendolyn H. Haught, 93 of Mt. Zion, died February 27th at Minnie Hamilton Health Care
Center-Long Term Care in Grantsville, WV.
Born at Arnoldsburg, West Virginia, August 7, 1909, a daughter of the late James A. and Lydia
Whystell Hoskins. She was a member of the Brooksville Baptist Church and the Mt. Zion
Homemaker's Extension Club.
Surviving are two daughters, Burdeal Wright and her husband, Keith of Lanexia, Virginia and
Dorcas Cain and her husband, Joseph of Big Bend, West Virginia; two sons, James Haught
and his wife, Wanna Lee of Hagerstown, Maryland and Leonard Haught and his wife, Carol of
Lakewood, Ohio; one brother, Vere (Buster) Hoskins and his wife, Ivy of Arnoldsburg, West
Virginia; 12 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death her parents and her husband, Horace L. Haught; five sisters,
Tressie Carey, Elaine Moneypenny, Harriet Hoskins, Ernestine Mace and Betty Jo
Morehead.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 5 at 2 p.m. at Stump Funeral Home in
Arnoldsburg. Rev. Harry Siers will officiate. Interment will be in the Liberty Hill Cemetery,
Arnoldsburg.
Friends may call at the funeral home from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and one hour prior to the
service, Wednesday.
