| Stacey R. Matheny, 46, of Elizabeth WV received her Heavenly wings January 10, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer.
She was the daughter of the Late Charles "Charlie" Goff and
Betty (Ash) Goff of Elizabeth.
She graduated from Mountain State College of Parkersburg and was a member of the Elizabeth Baptist Church. She worked for several years at Coplin Clinic of Elizabeth and retired From Mid Ohio Valley Medical Group of Vienna WV, as a Medical Assistant.
Stacey had a heart of gold, enjoyed helping others and making crafts but most of all she enjoyed being a grandmother.
In addition to her mother she is survived by her loving husband and best friend of 28 years Brent Matheny, daughter Chantae Matheny and son Dakota Matheny; her grandchildren Remington and Raeleigh; brothers Rodney Goff ( Melinda) and Richard Goff and niece Amy Joy (whom she raised), 2 great-nieces Laynee and Aubree Joy, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
To Stacey, family are the friends you find along the way in this journey of life. So many have became that family.
A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 18, 2020 from 10 a.m. noon with services beginning at noon at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with the Rev Larry Vanhorn and Danny Schreckengost officiating.
Private Interment at K of P Cemetery of Elizabeth will be held by the family.
