Violet May Williams, 88, of Big Bend, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on January 6, 2020.
She was the daughter of the late Milton and Madge Cain of Big Bend.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Wilford Williams and sister, Leota Wease of Clendenin, WV.
Violet was a 1949 graduate of Calhoun County High School. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and homemaker. She treated everyone with grace and kindness. She was a member of Brookesville Missionary Baptist Church where she sang in the choir and taught many
years of Sunday School and Vacation Bible School.
She is survived by sister Nancy Craddock (Clyde) of Big Bend, daughter Sandra Ball (Rodney) of Vale NC, son Howard Williams (Joyce) Big Bend, grandchildren, Melissa Park (Chad), Shawn Ball, James Williams (Courtney), Drew Williams and three great grandchildren,
Garrett Park, Kathryn Ball and Caroline Williams.
A funeral service will be held Friday, January 10, 2020, with visitation 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. with funeral service immediately following visitation at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville, WV with Pastor Matt Sanders officiating. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
