Born in Gilmer County, she was a daughter of the late Wade and Jessie Linger Blackshire. She was a member of the Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church at Stumptown.

Surviving Mrs. Collins are a daughter, Darlene Yoak of Parkersburg, two sons, Gerald B. Collins of Chloe, WV and Tony B. Collins of Stumptown. One sister, Ocea Vanhorn of Weirton, WV and a brother, Earl Blackshire of Scott Depot, WV, seven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a son, Kenneth Harold Collins in 1992.

Funeral services will be held Monday at 11:00 a.m. at Stump Funeral Home, Grantsville, WV. Rev. Jim Yoak will officiate. Interment will be in the Collins Community Cemetery, Stumptown. Friends may call at the funeral home from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday.
