| MAN FIRES GUN, WILD PURSUIT - A Buckhannon man is facing more charges in Upshur County after police say he took his 8-month-old grandchild and fired a gun at his step-father's truck before fleeing on Christmas Day, troopers say.

According to the criminal complaint, troopers with the West Virginia State Police received a call just before 2:30 p.m. about a brandishing complaint on Greenbrier Drive in Buckhannon.
While troopers were on the phone with the caller, they heard two shots in the background. They notified the Upshur County Communications Center to send the closest unit available.
The call said that her father Craig Stimson shot at a vehicle on the property and fled the scene with her 8-month-old child in a black passenger car heading towards Route 33, according to troopers.
Another witness followed Stimson and continued to advise the communications center of Stimson's location, according to court documents.
Deputies saw Stimson's car near the Lewis County line on Route 33, according to the complaint. Deputies tried to stop Stimson, but he refused and continued into Lewis County.
Troopers say they caught up to Stimson on Route 33. Stimson continued onto Route 33 going up to 90 mph.
Stimson got on to I-79 northbound, according to troopers. He was going up to 100 mph.
The chase continued until Clarksburg Police were able to deploy stop sticks on exit 119, according to court documents. Stimson continued to the intersection of Lodgeville Road and Emily Drive in Bridgeport.
Stimson was taken into custody and the child was found in the car, troopers said. The child was lying on top of clothing in the passenger seat.
A .40 caliber firearm was found from the passenger seat next to where the child was found, court documents state. The firearm was loaded with the safety off.
The child was found safe and reunited with a family member.
Witnesses on Greenbrier Drive told deputies Stimson was acting weird when he took the child, according to troopers. Stimson's step-father tried to block Stimson in the driveway.
Stimson got out of the car and fired two shots at the front and rear tires of the truck, according to the complaint. He then fled from the house with the child.
Stimson has been charged with four counts of wanton endangerment, one count of kidnapping, one count of fleeing with reckless indifference, one count of child abuse with risk of death and one count of prohibited person in possession of a concealed firearm.
He is being held at North Central Regional Jail without bond.
MAN MURDERED - Dunbar police are investigating after a man was found dead Friday morning near a car wash.
Daniel Christopher Arthur, 29, of Dunbar was shot once in the head, police say.
Arthur's body was found by a passerby about 4:15 a.m. in the 900 block of Dunbar Ave. near the TLC Lube and Car Wash.
Security video from the business recorded the incident and showed two men walking into the lot and only one of them left the lot.
Dunbar Police and the Kanawha County Sheriff's Office are investigating.
No arrests have been made.
