HUNTINGTON MURDER - Police have released the name of the victim who died after a shooting Saturday night in Huntington.
According to Huntington Interim Police Chief Ray Cornwell, officers were sent to the 900 block of 28th Street for a possible shooting around 10:16 p.m. last night.
When officers arrived on scene, a male was observed in the driveway of the house with multiple gunshot wounds.
Police say Charles Edward Allen, 28, originally of Detroit, Michigan, died from his injuries.
The incident is still under investigation and no suspects have been arrested at this time.
Neighbors in the area said they heard four gunshots and people screaming outside the house.
HUNTINGTON GUNFIRE - One man was hospitalized Friday night in Huntington after several shots were fired on 20th Street, Huntington Police Interim Chief Ray Cornwell said.
Huntington police responded to the call at about 11:30 p.m. The victim was taken away from the scene by friends.
Cornwell said the vehicle was later stopped by a deputy in Boyd County, Kentucky, and escorted to Kingâs Daughters Hospital.
While the deputy was helping the shooting victim in the hospital, the driver of the vehicle apparently left, Cornwell said.
There is no information available on the victimâs injuries or condition.
THREATENED WITH KNIFE - A Dunbar man was arrested Friday night after Kanawha County deputies say he entered a home uninvited.
Bryan Joseph Ramella, 38, is accused of burglary after deputies received a complaint in the 4000 block of Kanawha State Forest Drive.
In a criminal complaint, the homeowner said Ramella had been told not come to the residence after a phone call by Ramella accused him of messing with Ramellaâs girlfriend.
The homeowner said he felt threatened after Ramella allegedly showed up to the residence Friday with a knife.
