Justine Paxton, 81, of Walton WV, died Sunday, December 8, 2019, at Hubbard Hospice House West, South Charleston.
She was born January 31, 1938, at Walton, the daughter of the late Oley and Matilda Moore Hively.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Shirkey Paxton, Sr.; grandson, Joey Daniel Starcher; half-brother, Herby Nelson Harper; brother, Denver Wayne Hively.
Mrs. Paxton was a homemaker and a Baptist. She formerly attended the McKowns Creek Church and the Mt. Hope Church, Walton. She liked singing, reading her Bible and working Word Search puzzles.
Survivors include her children, Peggy (Danny) Starcher of Walton, Tresea (James) Seabolt of Newton Falls, Ohio, Shirkey (Peggy) Paxton also of Walton and Valarie (Coy Garris) Parker of Powhatan VA; sisters, Pauline Taylor of Charleston WV and Irene Gae Patrick of Walton; eight grandchildren, Joshua Starcher, Cassie Mitchell, Jamie Aaron Seabolt, Jeremy Seabolt, Jason Paxton, Zachary Norman, Cara Justine Longest and Emily Parker; ten great grandchildren and one step great grandchild.
A funeral service will be conducted at noon, Thursday, December 12 at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer. Burial will be in the Lyle Paxton Cemetery, Walton. The visitation will be one hour before the funeral.
