| Gayle P. Lowe, 85, of Elizabeth WV, passed away Saturday morning, December 7, 2019.
She was born February 16, 1934, in Elizabeth, the daughter of the late Claude and Inza Caltrider.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 63 years Robert "Bob" Lowe Sr., her son Robert Lowe Jr. and her siblings Terry Caltrider, Jack (Sally) Caltrider), Bill Caltrider, Peggy Sue Dodrill and Patty Lou Caltrider.
She was a graduate of Wirt County High School, Class of 1951. Following graduation, she co-owned and operated the Theater Restaurant in Elizabeth with her late husband Robert "Bob" Lowe. She was also employed by the A&P grocery store chain where she retired with over 45 years of service.
She is survived by her son, Richard Lowe of Elizabeth; her brother Ted (Sharon) Caltrider of Dry Fork WV and sister-in-law Karen (Terry) Caltrider of Little Hocking OH; a daughter-in-law Cindy (Robert) Lowe of Elizabeth; two grandchildren Robert Matthew (Wendy) Lowe of Huntington WV and Kristina Logan Lowe of Elizabeth and two "same as" grandchildren, Wyatt and Shelby Simonton of Elizabeth.
Services will be Wednesday, Dec. 11, at 11 a.m. at Matheny Whited Funeral Home of Elizabeth with the Pastor Mark Lowe and Pastor Dwight Goff officiating. Visitation will be Tuesday, December 10, from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. and Wednesday, December 11 from 9 a.m. until the time of the service.
Interment will be at the Knight of Pythias Cemetery in Elizabeth WV.
