Itâs almost time to pull out the camo and blaze orange as thousands of West Virginians of all ages head for the woods to seek their prized buck this year.
Buck firearms season lasts from Nov. 25 through Dec. 7, according to the West Virginia Division of Natural Resources. All counties in West Virginia except Logan, McDowell, Mingo and Wyoming counties are open for buck firearms season.
The DNR said hunters may only take no more than three antlered deer during both the regular deer seasons and the following Mountaineer Heritage Season combined, and a hunter can take no more than one antlered deer per day.
