AAA East Central held their annual traffic safety awards luncheon in Bridgeport WV, Thursday, November 14, where the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office received a Gold Traffic Safety Award.
The award categories include Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum.
Sheriff Jeff Starcher (above) said the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office received this award due to their highway safety programs and initiatives, which include speed enforcement, distracted driving enforcement, stop sign enforcement, DUI patrols, sobriety checkpoints, and active drug interdiction patrols.
Sheriff Starcher represented the Calhoun County Sheriff's Office and accepted the award.
