Eula Mae Goodwin, 88, of Amma, West Virginia, died Saturday, November 2, 2019, at home, after an extended illness.
She was born March 12, 1931, at Left Hand, the daughter of the late Lester and Bessie Justice Nichols.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Dennis Ray Goodwin; two sons, Steve Goodwin and Roger Goodwin.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Russell and Melissa Goodwin of Amma; sister, Mardell McGlothlin; brothers, Delmas, Melvin, Rondel, Coy and Lee Nichols; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Mrs. Goodwin was a retired cook, who worked at the Left Hand Grade School and Geary Elementary-Middle School. She quilted for Cabin Creek Quilting Company. She loved quilting and won several awards at the Black Walnut Festival, Spencer. She was also a member of the House of Prayer, Left Hand, where she served as secretary and treasurer.
Her funeral service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 7 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Daniel Goodwin officiating. Burial will be in the Snodgrass Cemetery, Left Hand.
The family will receive friends from 5-7 p.m. Wednesday, November 6 at the funeral home.
