Gary Lee May, 61, of Spencer WV, died Friday, October 11, 2019, at Roane General Hospital, Spencer.
He was born January 4, 1958, at Spencer, the son of the late Burl and Mae McGraw May.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Butch May; and a sister, Phyllis Kessleman.
Gary was a retired oil and gas rig hand. He was a 'jack of all trades' who enjoyed owning and working on older model cars. Together with his son, he built three houses. Also, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Chris Blosser of Spencer; daughter, Gwen May of Raleigh, N.C.; sisters, Janie Lupardus of Gandeeville and Vicky Blouir of Canton, Ohio; brothers, Ricky May of Leatherbark, Richard May of Billings and Tim May of Clover; four grandchildren and one great grandchild.
There will be a gathering of family and friends from 1-4 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 16th at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer.
