| James R. Kennedy age 72 of Normantown WV, departed this life on Saturday, October 5, 2019 at the Genesis Health Care, Glenville Center, following an extended illness.
He was born December 28, 1946 in Weston WV, son of the late Junior R. and Garnett C. Curry Kennedy.
James is a graduate of Normantown High School, class of 1964 and attended Salem College. He is a member of the Oak Grove Baptist Church and spent his entire life devoted to farming.
Surviving are 4 brothers, Roger Kennedy and wife Jeannie, Kevin Kennedy and wife Donna, and Scott Kennedy, all of Normantown, and Kent Kennedy and wife Jane of Ripley WV.
Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other wonderful family and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Oak Grove Baptist Church near Normantown at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, October 8, 2019 with Elder Larry Fisher officiating. Burial will follow in the Oak Grove Cemetery. Friends will be received from 9:00 â 11:00 a.m. Tuesday morning at the church.
