Pebble Faye Wilson Reed Pritt age 88 of Glenville WV, formerly of the Cedar Creek Community, went to heaven to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, September 30, 2019 at the Genesis Health Care, Glenville Center, following an extended illness.
She was born November 18, 1930 in Rosedale WV, daughter of the late Claude and Birl Skidmore Wilson.
Pebble was a graduate of Normantown High School, class of 1948, she attended Glenville State College and Alderson-Broaddus College, and spent 2 years as a teacher in a one room school in Braxton and Marion Counties. She was a former Gilmer County Assessor's office deputy, an employee of the old Kanawha Union Bank, and retired from United National Bank with 27 years experience.
Pebble was a member of the Crooked Run Community Church and a Protestant by faith. She was also a member of the Country Roads Good Sam Camping Club, Glenville CEOS, Cedar Creek Game Club, Cedar Creek Community Club, Gassaway Eastern Star, and Gilmer County Senior Citizens. In her spare time, she enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping, square dancing, riding motorcycles, spending time with family and friends, and living the quiet life along the Cedar Creek.
On July 3, 1970 Pebble was united in marriage to Claude Pritt, who preceded her in death in September 6, 1997.
Pebble is survived by her step family, Junior and Betty Heckert of Glenville and Jack and Judy Pritt of Roundlake Beach IL; and grandchildren, Terry and Mary Heckert and Kim and Cliff Frymier both of Glenville, Darlene and Rob Somerville of Linn, Chris and Bob Smolka of Athens WI, Steve Pritt of Lake Villa IL, and Tracy Ostergaard of Trevor WI.
Also surviving are 13 great-grandchildren, 6 great-great grandchildren, and a host of other wonderful family and friends.
Along with her second husband and parents, Pebble is preceded in death by her first husband Fred Reed.
A funeral service will be conducted at the Ellyson Mortuary, Inc. 2 Vanhorn Drive, Glenville WV at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, October 3, 2019 with Pastor Bill Lytle officiating. Burial will follow in the Meadow Lane Cemetery beside her loving husband Claude. Friends will be received from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday evening at the mortuary in Glenville.
