| Arretta Mae Slider Young, 89, was born July 12, 1930, at Hur, Calhoun WV
to Russell K. and Lyda Pearl (Gough) Slider.
Arretta passed comfortably to her heavenly home, a believer in Jesus
Christ on September 1, 2019 at the home of her niece Laura Sue Hicks(Larry), a daughter of Roscoe G. Slider, at
Foresthill, Placer County, California.
Arretta was preceded in death by her husband Alan Reed Jr. her mother and father and eight brothers
and sisters:
Roscoe G. Slider,
Beulah Delma Slider Stanley (Clifford),
Salathiel Dewitt Slider,
Bellva June Slider Knopp (Paul Eugene),
Wilbert Deo Slider,
Syvilla Elizabeth Slider Wagner (Bob),
Virginia Blondina Slider Hudson (Horace),
John Perry Slider.
Arretta is survived by many nieces and nephews and loved all her family loved to fish and camp.
She liked Christian gospel music and
country music, games of marbles, dominos
and darts. She made us smile and laugh
when she told us her stories with vivid
imagination.
Her remains are being returned to the Slider Cemetery near Hur, where her parents are interred. |
