CIRCUIT COURT PROCESSES 13 CASES

Calhoun Circuit Court was in session last week with Judge Anita Harold Ashley, according to Prosecutor Shannon Johnson.

Gary Nicholson appeared on the State's Motion to Revoke and Forfeit Bond. The Defendant admitted that he had violated his bond and the Court revoked the same.

Dennis Keener appeared on his Motion to Reduce Bond. The court denied the motion.

Robert Beckett appeared for a Pre-Trial Hearing. There being no issues, his case will come on for trial on November 5, 2019.

Brandy Carpenter did not appear for her Pre-Trial Hearing. The case was rescheduled to November 4, 2019.

Billy Hardway appeared for Arraignment. His attorney moved for a competency evaluation. His case was set for November 4th for a Review Hearing.

Jacob Dodd appeared for a First Appearance. His case was set for October 2, 2019 for Entry of a Plea.

Eric J. R. Blake appeared for a First Appearance and Arraignment. His case was set for a Pre-Trial Hearing on October 2. 2019 and for Trial on November 5. 2019.

Ethan Arnold, Roxie Troup, and Zach Troup all appeared for Arraignment. Their case was set for Pre-Trial Hearing on October 2. 2019 and for Trial on November 5. 2019.

Fred Tanner appeared for Arraignment. His case was set for Pre-Trial Hearing on October 2, 2019 and for Trial on November 5, 2019.

Jeremy Burrows appeared for a Pre-Trial Hearing. There being no issues. this case will come on for Trial on October 5, 2019.

Michael Metz appeared on his Motion for Probation in his Magistrate Court case. This Court granted the motion and placed him on one year of supervised probation.

Darren Parsons appeared for a Pre-Trial Hearing. After the Court heard testimony on the Defendant's Motion for Ruling on Lost Evidence, the Court took the case under advisement.

Samantha Starcher appeared for a Plea Hearing. The Defendant entered a plea of guilty to Possession with Intent to Deliver, a Felony; Possession of a Controlled Substance, a Misdemeanor; and Escape from Custody, a Misdemeanor. The Defendant was sentenced to complete Drug Court.

The Court also heard twelve Juvenile cases and three civil cases.
