Lowell Thomas Yoak, 77, of Grantsville, WV passed away on August 31, 2019 at his home, after an extended illness.
He was born January 3, 1942 at Big Bend, WV.
He was a US Army Veteran who served in Vietnam for the TET Offensive in 1968. He was also a retired union construction worker.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Loyal B. and Mona G. Fortney Yoak, three brothers, Dennis, Denzil and Robert Yoak; three sisters Sharon Frame, Edith Burrows, and Eva Collins and his previous wife, Daisy Carpenter Yoak.
He is survived by his wife, Dreama Kidd Yoak, son Torey T. (Sherri) Yoak of Weston, WV and grandson Elijah Yoak. Also surviving are 5 sisters, Evelyn (Jim) McCormick of Grantsville, Edna Schmeller of Akron, OH, Pauline Jarvis of Westmoreland, TN, Neva (Ron) Patterson of Parkersburg, WV and Netta (Evert) Norman of Grantsville, WV; one brother Jim (Carolyn) Yoak of Heaters, WV.
Also surviving are his mother in law, Vada Kidd, and sister in law, Gayle. Also, sister in law Iva Yoak of Walker, WV and brother in law Dean (Becky) Burrows of Mineral Wells, WV, brother in law Stephen (Sue) Kidd of Spencer, WV, several nieces and nephews and a very special care giver, Arletta Davis.
A funeral service will be held at Stump Funeral Home & Cremation, Inc., Grantsville WV, Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. with pastor Abby Reyes officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Tom's wishes were to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery, Arlington, VA.
