David Matheney, 67, of Newton, died Sunday, August 25, 2019, at home.
He was born October 3, 1951, at Parkersburg, the son of the late James Willard and Bernice Ruth Hall Matheney.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Mary Lou Matheney; and a brother, Garry A. Matheney.
Survivors include a daughter and son-in-law, Sarah and Brett Whiting of Parkersburg; son and daughter-in-law, James and Kaylyn Matheney of Sheridan WY.; four grandchildren, Colby Whiting, Chelsea Whiting, Nicholas Matheney and Natalie Matheney; brother, Terry Matheney of Newton.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 30 at the John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer, with the Rev. Rick Metheney officiating. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery, Beech.
The visitation will be from 6-9 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
