Carol Ann Lewis, 77, of Loris, South Carolina, formerly of Washington, West Virginia, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2019 at her residence.
She was born January 17, 1942 in Parkersburg, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Herbert C. and Edith V. Stump Smith, who resided in Grantsville.
Carol was a member of Sharon Baptist Church in Longs, South Carolina, was a homemaker, and she enjoyed sewing and genealogy research.
She is survived by her husband, Thomas L. Lewis; sons, Robert “Tom” Lewis of Grantsville, West Virginia, Mark W. Lewis (Annette) of Washington, West Virginia, and Jeffrey L. Lewis (Sherralyn) of Loris, South Carolina; sister, Nellie J. Beckett of Parkersburg, West Virginia; brothers, Allen D. Smith (Debra) of Arnoldsburg, West Virginia and Daniel K. Smith (Loretta) of Grantsville, West Virginia; and grandchildren, Jonathan Lewis (Amanda), Dustin Lewis (Sara), Sundance Lewis, Levi Gibson, Sailor Gibson, Courtney Lewis, Lee Ann Lewis and great-grandchildren, Paige Lewis, Allison Lewis, Isabelle Lewis, Kendall Richards, Mary Connell, Seth Connell, and Sean Connell.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sister, Judith L. Swisher and brothers, Chuck Smith and Lew Smith.
Funeral Service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Monday, August 26, 2019 at Lambert-Tatman Funeral Home, 2333 Pike Street, south Parkersburg with Pastor Greg Swisher officiating. Interment will follow at Evergreen South Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 4:00 â 8:00 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
