Donna L. Lynch 81, of Palestine WV, earned her heavenly reward and went home to be with her Savior Tuesday, August 20, 2019.
Born on May 16, 1938 to Charles and Carrie Corbitt, Donna was the youngest of five siblings. She spent her childhood growing up in the Two Runs community of Palestine, and graduated from Wirt County High School in 1956.
Donna worked for several years at Nashua Photo, and retired from ParMar on Pike Street in Parkersburg.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by brothers Charles Corbitt and Alfred "Bob" Corbitt, sisters Geraldine "Jerri" Stone and Martha Allen, sister-in-law Francis Corbitt, and brother-in-law James Stone.
She is survived by her daughters, Darlene (Robert) Lockhart of Palestine, Sherry (Terry) Workman of Kenna; grandchildren Brad (Erika) Lockhart, Carrie (Shaun) Myers, Crystal (Tim) Myers, Jamie (Roger) Fultz, and Nichole (Thomas) Counts; great grandchildren Gerad Lockhart, Shaun Joseph Myers, Annabelle Clark, Lacey Counts, Parker Myers, Andrew Clark, Makynzie Myers, Colton Clark, Gage Myers, and Jessa Lockhart. She is also survived by sister-in-law Judith Hess, brother-in-law Waldo Allen, several nieces and nephews, and Rod (Patty) Wilson who always called her mother.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday August 25, 2019 at Matheny Whited Funeral Home, of Elizabeth with the Rev Jim Corbitt officiating. Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. Saturday, August 24, 2019 and 1 hour prior to the services on Sunday. Interment will be at Palestine Cemetery Thorn addition.
