Pleasant Hill Elementary offers a Weekly Parent Child Group.
The focus of these groups will be Kindergarten Readiness Skills for children 3 to 5 years old, but all younger siblings are welcome to attend.
During the weekly Parent Child Groups, participants will be exploring Language, Literacy and Math Kindergarten Readiness skill areas: Knowing about the alphabet, books and print; talking and listening; understanding words and sounds; numbers, counting, patterns, sorting and classification; comparison, measurement and geometry. These are all critical skills that your child needs to be prepared for Preschool and Kindergarten.
This group is open to everyone. You do not have to be enrolled in school or in any of the other Save the Children programs to attend. If you canât bring your child(ren) please remember you can have their caregiver bring them.
This is a good way to get to know the school. Please, come out and meet the teachers, principal, and be involved with what will be happening in their classrooms and school. This is also a good way to introduce child(ren) to the Pre-K/Kindergarten environment.
