Harold S. "Stan" Dobbins, 85, of Jewett, Ohio, passed away peacefully Monday, August 5, 2019 at Community Hospice-Truman House, New Philadelphia.
He was born March 21, 1934 at Nicut WV, a son of the late Arnold and Lydia Bailey Dobbins.
He was a retired employee of Ford Motor Company, with 32 years of service.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by sisters, Betty Hopkins and Wilma Sampson; and a brother, Arnold Dobbins, Jr.
Stan leaves behind his wife of 60 years, Barbara Sampson Dobbins of Jewett OH; children, Edward Dobbins of Jewett, James (Barb) Dobbins of Cumberland OH, Cheryl (Scott) Bearer of LaGrange OH, and Bradley (Debbie) Dobbins of Daytona Beach FL.
He also
leaves behind grandchildren, Matthew Cox, Samantha Wolfram, Jocelyn Brennan; and a sister, Eleanor Evans of Vienna WV.
A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m. Thursday, August 8, at John H. Taylor Funeral Home, Spencer WV, with the Rev. Kevin Church officiating. Burial will follow in Minnora Cemetery, Calhoun County. Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service.
